Why We Are Different
Many successful and world renowned charities spend large portions of their donations to cover administrative and salary related costs. While recognizing the need to retain talented individuals, the implied misdirection of funds gives us pause for concern. Accordingly, we are committed to empowering change through visible results and measurable impact. Our dedicated, pro bono professionals personally ensure that 100% monies donated are allocated amongst reputable organizations committed to making a difference. Such partnerships are essential for removing the worries that are sometimes associated with charitable donations. We personally oversee the delivery of donated monies and goods, thereby removing administrative obstacles. We are different; we are charitybartender.org.
The disconnect between donations and their impact inspired us to become a 100% charity. Every single dollar raised is donated. We do not pay salaries. All costs are covered out of pocket.
History
We grew up to stories of heroes, of men and women who changed the world. Alongside the tales of Hercules and Batman and Transformers, we knew tales of ordinary people made exceptional by their dedication and committments. Firemen who ran into burning buildings. Doctors and medics who braved war torn countries to provide medicine to the improvished. Teachers who gave the lamp of education to children living in the wilderness of ignorance. We heard these tales, read their legends, and were moved by their inspiration. And somewhere along the way, our dreams of change and hope were put away. Slowly, our ideas of help transformed from extending hands to extending a check.
There was a disconnect from the good we could do and what we actually do.
While monetary donations can be utilized to purchase food and supplies for our various charities, services and skills are always welcome. Whether your skills lie in manual labor or intellectual pursuits, the people we help can benefit from the expertise that they may otherwise be unable to retain.
